Our Story: Why PLC‑Network Was Created
At the Physician Leadership Career Network (PLC‑Network), we believe there’s a better path to developing and supporting physician leaders. Healthcare is evolving rapidly, and organizations increasingly rely on physicians to step into leadership and executive roles — yet for decades, there was no dedicated resource to guide, prepare, and connect them.
We created PLC‑Network to fill that gap. Our mission is to help emerging, early‑career, and experienced physician leaders elevate their skills, explore leadership opportunities, and connect with employers who value their expertise. We’re equally committed to empowering healthcare organizations to find the physician leaders they need to drive strategy, improve care delivery, and fulfill their mission‑critical goals.

Our Founding
PLC‑Network was founded in 2019 by Kurt Scott, a long‑time builder and leader of physician and executive recruitment programs. Over the years, he saw a consistent need that wasn’t being met: a dedicated space where physician leaders and healthcare organizations could connect and grow. The pandemic created the pause needed to bring that vision to life, resulting in PLC‑Network — the only career platform designed specifically for physician leaders
The PLC-Network Platform
Now six years in business, the PLC‑Network platform focuses exclusively on physician leadership opportunities. Physicians can connect directly with employers through the network, and there is no cost for physicians to join as members.

Graduate Education, Leadership Training, and Career Coaching
Our leadership development resources include collaborations with the UT Dallas Alliance for Physician Leadership, and the Path to Physician Leadership certificate program. Additional training and coaching opportunities are available through LEAD Physician with Elsie Koh, MD, and career coaching from experts Michael Brown, MD, MS, MCHM, CHCIO, and Terri Christensen, PhD, CEO of H&H Associates.
Technology Resources
Physicians have access to tools that support career growth and professional organization, including KontactIntelligence — a comprehensive recruitment and retention platform — free access to MedCV, a private electronic credential and CV vault, and Mesh AI, a one‑click clinician scheduling tool designed to reduce administrative burden.
Physician Entrepreneurs
We offer resources for physicians exploring entrepreneurial paths through partnerships with InnovatorMD and SoMeDocs (Social Media for Doctors).
Job Search Support Physicians can set up personalized job alerts on PLC‑Network and access CV review services to strengthen their leadership career search.
