Centura Health (Centura), the Rocky Mountain and Central Plains region’s health care leader, seeks to partner with a highly collaborative and transformational leader as the Chief Executive Officer, Centura Health Physicians Group (CHPG), based in one of the most desirable places to live in the nation, Denver, Colorado. Reporting to the Group President of Physician Enterprise, the CEO, CHPG will lead the employed physicians and providers and all administrative and operational functions supporting the group. In full support of the Centura Health’s Mission, Vision and Values, the President, CHPG will foster, advocate and support the evolution of Centura Health and the creation of sustainable, distinctively competent organizations that measurably improve the health of the individuals and the communities Centura Health serves.

The health system generates $3.8 billion in annual net revenue, serves 17 hospitals, two senior living communities, health neighborhoods, home care and hospice services and Flight For Life® Colorado, along with an extensive network of providers across Colorado and western Kansas. CHPG is one of the largest multi-specialty physician groups in the region and serves as a cornerstone of the Centura Health network of care. With over 900 medical providers in more than 250 locations across Colorado and western Kansas, the medical group connects consumers to state-of-the-art technology, clinical resources, and vast professional expertise to keep them healthier by treating the whole person rather than a single illness or injury.

Resources available to CHPG physicians include supply chain expertise, technology implementation trainers, contracting experts, centralized credentialing, financial reporting/modeling, and communication – to ensure providers spend their time doing what matters most – caring for patients and serving their communities.
The CEO will direct, manage, and promote the administrative and operational functions of CHPG in conjunction with the Management team, Clinic Directors and Practice Managers. The CEO maintains broad accountability for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of CHPG, with responsibility for all administrative functions of CHPG, including strategic and
business planning and development, operations, finance, physician compensation and performance improvement. In this capacity, the CEO also advises and educates the leadership team on the strategic, business development, operational, and financial impact of CHPG activities, and advocates for resource allocation for CHPG.
The CEO will lead a team of 2700 professionals including more than 900 employed physicians and advanced practice clinicians and direct reporting staff of 7. The staff supports practice management, medical group operations and population health.
The CEO, CHPG will report directly to the health system Group President, Physician Enterprise, Dr. Shauna Gulley. Dr. Gulley leads independent physician group relationships, Centura Health Physician Group and Colorado Health Neighborhoods network. Dr. Gulley is a forward-thinking and trusted physician leader whi is well positioned to lead our interconnected physician enterprise through its next chapter of innovative growth.
The city and county of Denver is the largest city and the capital of Colorado. Metro Denver has a population of 2.7 million people, with a growth rate that has consistently outpaced the national rate every decade since the 1930s. The region continued to grow steadily during the past decade, averaging two percent population growth each year from 1997 to 2007. By 2030, Metro Denver’s population is anticipated to increase by nearly 50 percent to almost 3.9 million, with 800,000 new jobs being created. Denver has one of the nation’s strongest metropolitan economies and has the largest percentage of college graduates of any major metropolitan area in the United States.
