At Lehigh Valley Health Network, you can provide community care and impact lives of your patients! We are seeking an enthusiastic board certified Infectious Disease physician who has exceptional clinical and leadership skills to join our team.

Program Overview:

LVHN’s Infectious Disease Program serves an eight-county area in Eastern Pennsylvania with a population of over two million.  The Infectious Disease team is well established and has 14 physicians and 5 physician assistants who primarily cover Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)-Cedar Crest in Allentown and LVH-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA.  Telemedicine consults are provided to other Lehigh Valley Hospitals in Pottsville, Hazleton and East Stroudsburg, PA.

Position Overview:

• The Chief of Infectious Disease position is an exciting opportunity to join the team as LVHN experiences continued growth through new hospital campuses.
• The mix of clinical responsibilities is approximately 80% inpatient consultations and 20% outpatient. 
• This position is responsible for the division’s clinical operations, research and educational mission.
• This position includes an administrative component allowing time for leadership responsibilities. 
• As with all physicians on the team, the Chief shares in a 1:5 rotating call responsibility for evening and weekend call.
• This position is employed by Lehigh Valley Physicians Group (LVPG), a multispecialty physician enterprise of Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Job Qualifications:  

• A network champion for Infectious Diseases and a passion for clinical work.
• The successful candidate will be a board certified infectious disease physician with at least 8 years of experience, a collaborative mindset, the ability to build relationships across the clinical and administrative spectrum, a passion for exceptional patient-centric care, a commitment to quality improvement and innovation, and a strong strategic focus.
• Exceptional clinical and leadership skills. 
• A valid Pennsylvania medical license or the ability to obtain one is required.
