EMS director responsibilities include: coordination and supervision of emergency medical services, daily operations and training activities, and staff through intervening supervisors, coordination of procedures and regulations with agencies served, development and maintenance up to date procedures manual for employees, and agencies served to improve patient satisfaction. Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital emergency medicine physicians and advance practice clinicians have the honor of caring for 46,000 high acuity patients with 55-hours of physician coverage per day and 12 hours of advance practice clinician coverage per day. Our 36-bed emergency department (ED) with fast track features state-of-the-art equipment, private rooms, and fully integrated with diagnostic imaging and the laboratory to expedite patient care typically within 30 minutes. Our facility requires board certified emergency medicine or board eligible within 5 years of residency (ABEM/AOBEM), 1-3 years EMS experience, ATLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification, active New York license/CSR, and DEA.
