TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time system medical director (SMD) to join our emergency department (ED) team at the Cleveland Clinic Martin Health facilities on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Enjoy year-round beautiful Florida weather with no state income tax.
This SMD role will be anchored just north of West Palm Beach, Florida, and responsible for the leadership and management of several emergency departments in Stuart and Port St. Lucie, Florida. In addition to the administrative responsibility, some clinical hours will be expected within the Cleveland Clinic Martin Health System, which is comprised of 3 hospital-based EDs and one freestanding ED with ED volumes ranging from 27,000-32,000 annual visits.
The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience along with board certification through ABEM or AOBEM. The SMD position will lead multiple emergency department medical directors in the management of their respective EDs, ensure that TeamHealth’s best practices are being followed, and work effectively with our client hospitals’ administrative team to ensure alignment with our clients.
