Family Medicine Academic Core Faculty Needed in Southern California
We are seeking a ABFM certified family medicine physician for our established 24-resident community-based family medicine residency program. Position qualifies for National Public Health qualified loan repayment.
Core faculty position includes 3 half day (12 hours) protected didactic/admin time. Remaining time will include a mix of outpatient direct patient care and time precepting. Employer will be local FQHC. Preferred candidates will have experience in women’s health and be able to see newborn to geriatrics. Fellowship trained candidates in Sports, Addiction or Geriatric Medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualified Candidates:
- Board certified in family medicine
- CA licensure or ability to obtain licensure
- DEA with full prescriptive authority
- Experience in GME teaching preferred
- Commitment to providing high quality, evidence based patient care
- Commitment to teaching residents and train the family medicine physicians of tomorrow
- Demonstrated administrative and scholarly activity
Responsibilities:
- Practice and teach comprehensive family medicine
- Provide clinical supervision of residents in an outpatient setting
- Serve as an advisor and role model
- Teach didactics and lead curriculum development
