As a member of the TeamHealth OB/Gyn leadership team, the facility medical director reports to the national medical director (NMD) or associate regional medical director (AMD), and collaborates with the NMD/AMD, senior vice president of operations and director of operations to maintain close collaboration among the clinical team and hospital leadership, and drive patient safety and quality initiatives as required by the TeamHealth Patient Safety Organization.
Ideal candidates will be board certified with at least 2 years of leadership experience, able to demonstrate clinical excellence with superior communication skills and practice clinically at the designated facility. An ideal clinician is a partner in clinical education, drills/simulations and quality initiatives required by TeamHealth’s Patient Safety Organization Qualifications also include a current or in-process Georgia license to practice, have active and current skills in the full breadth of the OB/Gyn specialty with the skill set and confidence to be the only covering clinician in the event of an emergency, and a focus on providing quality care, placing the patient above all other considerations.
