We have a medical director available to oversee both the pediatric emergency department and pediatric hospital medicine department at HCA Florida West Hospital. This highly visible position will work with both TeamHealth senior leadership and C-suite personnel. This 9-bed pediatric emergency department (ED) has an annual patient volume of 15k; there is daily shift coverage of 12 hours. The pediatric hospital medicine department works a 10-hour shift with a 7am-3pm schedule. On call is 3pm-7am. Clinicians will also round on inpatient pediatrics and well born nursery. You will be responsible for pediatric admissions on floor, attend deliveries when there is a high-risk concern; no circumcision required. There is also no ICU rounding. Qualified candidates must have prior administrative and leadership experience. You should be board certified in pediatrics required. Prior ED experience is preferred.
