Trauma ICU Medical Director needed to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX Full-Time

Surgical Affiliates Management Group is looking for an experienced BC Trauma Surgeon to be our Trauma ICU Medical Director in Corpus Christi, TX.

The Trauma ICU Medical Director reports to our Trauma Medical Director and works closely with the key organization stakeholders at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital, an ACS verified Level II center.

Our leaders and company focus on physician work/life balance with a predictable schedule on the campus of a Level II Trauma Center in beautiful Corpus Christi, TX.

This position offers:

• Predictable work schedule – 2 weeks per month – one week on/one week off
• 1800 activations annually
• Full time PA/NP support

• CME Allowance – $2500 Annually
• Malpractice and tail coverage

• Stability in a private group with more than 25 years of surgicalist experience

Position Qualifications:

• Board Certification in General Surgery
• Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
• Leadership experience is appreciated but not required
• Strong communication skills combined with high patient satisfaction scores
• A proven record of leadership, clinical excellence and enjoy a collaborative working environment
• Leadership experience in ACS verified trauma program
• Work 7  – 24 hour shifts per month (split into 12 hour or 24 hour shifts as needed)
• More shifts can be picked up as desired and available
• Local living in the community preferred but not required
