Anesthesiology Medical Director – Englewood, FL Full-Time

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking an experienced, Board Certified, Facility Medical Director to lead the team HCA Florida Englewood Hospital located on the beautiful west coast of Florida less than hour south of Sarasota. For the past four years,  HCA Healthcare has been operating this Program as an employed group and we continue to maintain a collegial, productive clinical environment where our Physicians can focus on providing outstanding patient care.

In this key role, the Facility Medical Director is responsible for the oversight and management of all clinical operations including staffing and utilization of fulltime and premium contingent labor, compliance with protocols and practice standards as well as managing the relationships between Anesthesia and the Hospital’s MSO, Surgical Services and C-Suite/Administration. They will work in partnership with the facility’s Director of Physician Services, the Assistant Vice President of Operations and with the Regional Medical Director in their market.

The ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator- one that is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and able to successfully partner with facility leadership and ancillary departments. This individual will also have a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards and value Practice stability and retaining our talented team members.

Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:

• Anesthesiologists do their own cases covering 3 sites of service

• Bread & Butter cases. Ortho, Robotics, GYN, Urology. No hearts. No heads. No OB. No Peds.
• Need to be Block proficient.
• No overnight call. Beeper call from home until 11p with minimal call back rate. Late start, 11am for Call Doc and stays until last case. Rotate weekend call coverage.
